Laryngotracheoesophageal fissure
Laryngo tracheo-esophageal cleft (LTEC) is a rare congenital anomaly, which is caused by the failure of the fusion of the primordium on both sides of the condylar cartilage and the failure of the esophagotracheal septum to grow to the tail. Often, the incidence of other malformations is about 50%. The most common are esophageal atresia and esophageal tracheal fistula.
