Rhabdomyosarcoma
Rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS) is a highly malignant tumor. Tumors can occur anywhere in the body. Slightly less than 25% of tumors originate from the urogenital tract. Frequent sites are related to age, infants and young children are more common in the vagina, young and middle-aged people are more common in the cervix, and older people are more common in the uterus. Vaginal rhabdomyosarcoma is rare and usually occurs in infants younger than 5 years of age. It can occur in children from 6 months to 16 years old, with an average age of 1.8 years.
