Vulvar melanoma
Vulvar malignant melanoma has significantly different biological behavior from other parts of melanoma, and the prognosis is also significantly worse than the latter. Melanoma is a rare malignant tumor derived from melanocytes in the neural crest. Melanocytes are mainly located in the epidermis of the skin, and are embedded between basal cells. Therefore, malignant melanoma occurs in the skin and the mucosa near the skin.
