Hard fibroma

Hard fibromas, also called ligamentoid tumors, are a rare form of benign hyperplasia of the aponeurosis, and it is estimated that 3.7 new cases occur every year in millions of people. It occurs in muscles, aponeurosis, and deep fascia, and is very hard. The disease can occur throughout the body, more common in the abdominal wall, but also in the abdomen and skeletal muscle. Hard fibroids mostly occur in 30 to 50 years of age, and are more common in women. Can also be found in adolescents.
