Colorectal injury
Colorectal injury (injury of the colon and rectum) is the fourth most common type of abdominal trauma. Colon injury has the following characteristics: ① the wall of the colon is thin, the blood circulation is poor, and the healing ability is weak; ② the colon is full of feces and contains a large number of bacteria, and once the intestine ruptures, the abdominal cavity is seriously polluted and easily causes infection; Intestinal flatulence often ruptures the suture or anastomosis; ④ The ascending and descending colons are relatively fixed, and the posterior wall is located outside the peritoneum, which is easy to miss diagnosis after injury and cause severe retroperitoneal infection; ⑤ There are many combined injuries and penetrating injuries of colon . Colonic injury is not immediately life-threatening, but late mortality due to infection is high.
