Choroid melanoma

Choroidal melanoma, like iris and ciliary body melanoma, is a tumor composed of malignant melanoma cells. Its tissue occurs in melanocytes in the choroid matrix. Choroid is the most common site of uveal melanoma and the most common intraocular malignant tumor in adults. It is more common in 40 to 60 years old and has nothing to do with gender or left and right eyes. It can occur in any part of the choroid, but it is common in the posterior pole of the eye.
