Sheen syndrome
Various lesions of the pituitary or hypothalamus can affect the endocrine function of the pituitary gland. When all or most of the pituitary gland is destroyed, it can produce a series of symptoms of endocrine gland dysfunction. The main glands involved are the gonads, thyroid gland, and The adrenal cortex is clinically referred to as aterior pituitary hypofunction, also known as Sheehan syndrome. The most common causes are postpartum ischemic necrosis and pituitary adenoma.
