Renal tubular acidosis

Type Ⅳ renal tubular acidosis, also known as hyperkalemia-type renal tubular acidosis. It is caused by aldosterone deficiency or antagonism. Its clinical features are hyperkalemia, hyperchloric acidosis, decreased urinary ammonium excretion, kidney loss of salt, and moderate glomerular filtration dysfunction.
