Cerebral ischemic disease

Cerebral ischemia is seen in the pathological processes of many neurosurgical diseases, such as cerebrovascular disease, brain tumors, etc., and also in systemic pathological processes such as cardiac arrest and shock. Cerebral ischemia can take different forms, including focal and diffuse cerebral ischemia, and permanent and temporary cerebral ischemia. However, no matter in which way it appears, the pathophysiology and biochemical changes of cerebral ischemia are basically similar, and it is related to the degree and duration of cerebral ischemia.
