Tetrodotoxin poisoning

Puffer fish is made in China along the coast and the lower reaches of the Yangtze River. There are many species. Generally speaking, puffer fish are highly toxic in the ovaries, testes, skin, liver, and roe, and the most toxic during the reproduction period of winter and spring. A few breeds of muscle also contain strong poison. There is no relationship between fish size and virulence. Tetrodotoxin is an alkaloid contained in puffer fish, which is considered to be the strongest non-protein neurotoxin in nature.
