Mental disorders associated with abnormal pituitary function

Anterior pituitary hyperfunction (giant disease or acromegaly) Associated mental disorder refers to mental disorders and neurological symptoms caused by excessive secretion of various growth hormones in the anterior pituitary gland. Hypofunction of anterior pituitary gland associated with mental disorder refers to hypothyroidism of anterior pituitary gland caused by inflammation, tumor, necrosis, or surgery caused by anterior pituitary gland, and reduced hormone secretion, leading to secondary gonadal, thyroid and adrenal cortex Sexual dysfunction, disturbances in the mutual regulation of the endocrine system and the nervous system, leading to brain dysfunction and mental disorders. Hypoparathyroidism (diabetes insipidus) associated with mental disorders is caused by hypothalamic-neurohypophyseal lesions caused by reduced or lack of antidiuretic hormone (ADH) secretion and physical symptoms.
