Senile bedsores
Bedsores refer to ischemic necrosis and ulceration of the muscles on the skin, subcutaneous tissues, and bone bulges caused by a short period of strong pressure or a long period of low pressure. Bedsores occur in the sacrum, the greater trochanter, the medial and lateral ankles, and the spine. Bedsores can be seen at any age, but are most common in the elderly, especially in older patients over 70 years of age.
