Ovarian crown cyst

Ovarian crown cyst is a cyst located in the broad ligament near the fallopian tube or ovary. The name ovarian crown cyst does not involve histogenesis, it only means some cystic masses around the fallopian tube and ovary between the two leaves of the broad ligament. Ovarian crown cysts are benign, non-neoplastic cysts, but there have been a few reports of adenocarcinoma of ovarian crown cysts. Can appear at any age, more common in women of childbearing age. Ovarian crown cyst is not a ovarian cyst but a tumor-like lesion.
