Laryngeal Lymphoid Follicular Hyperplasia

Chronic pharyngitis is considered to be due to hyperplasia of lymphatic follicles in the throat. Lymphoid follicles are the lymphatic tissue of the human body. The tonsils and proliferators in the pharynx are all lymphoid tissues. Under normal circumstances, lymphatic follicles are not obvious, and when there is chronic inflammation in the pharynx, hyperplasia and hypertrophy occur. This is often referred to as lymphoid hyperplasia in clinical practice.
