Hermaphroditism

Bisexual malformation refers to the fact that an individual's sexual organs have the characteristics of both sexes. The reason for this is that sex chromosome aberrations and abnormal androgen secretion cause abnormal development of embryonic sexual organs. If there are both testes and ovaries in the same body, the external genitalia and the second sexual characteristics are between the two sexes, which is called true hermaphroditism. If the gonads are inconsistent with the external genitalia, it is called pseudohermaphroditism. For example, those whose external genitalia are similar to females and whose internal genitalia are testes are called male pseudohermaphrodites. On the contrary, the external genitalia are similar to the male internal genitalia and the ovaries are called female pseudohermaphroditism.
