Orbital eosinophilic granuloma

Histiocytosis X (histiocytosis X) is a disease caused by the accumulation of a large number of hyperplastic, lightly stained and large histocytes in the orbit or in various organs, soft tissues and bones. According to the different parts involved, it is divided into local unifocal and general multifocal. The younger the age, the more likely it is to develop into a multifocal lesion. The older the patient is, the greater the possibility of a single focal lesion. Infants with multiple systems such as skin, viscera, lymph nodes, and orbits within 1 to 2 years of age are considered to be Letterer-Siwe disease; older children show a typical triad: skull defects, exophthalmos, and urine Collapse disease is called Hand-Schüller-Christian disease; the unitary disease is called eosinophilic granuloma.
