Portal hypertension enteropathy
Portal hypertension bowel disease (PHC) was proposed by Kozarek in 1991. It refers to intestinal submucosal capillary dilatation, congestion, increased blood flow, arteriovenous short circuit, and capillary endothelium. Changes in the ultrastructure of the mucosal epithelium. PHC mainly manifests as colorectal hemorrhage. Bleeding is mainly caused by submucosal varicose veins, sudden increase in pressure in the portal vein, erosion or ulcers on the mucosal surface, impaired coagulation mechanism, and decreased platelet quality or quantity.
