Mental disorders associated with Behcet's disease

Behcet's disease, which is an eye-oral-genital triad, is an autoimmune disease mainly characterized by oral, genital ulcers, and iridocyclitis. Cavara et al. (1954) proposed that the central clinical symptoms are called neurobehcet's disease. The mechanism of neuropsychiatric symptoms is unknown. Behcet's disease is a major factor in the development of mental disorders. Behcet's disease is a secondary cause of mental disorders. However, not all patients with Behcet's disease develop mental disorders, so Behcet's disease is not the only cause of mental disorders.
