Continuous acral dermatitis

The cause of continuous acrotic dermatitis (acrodennatitis continua) is unknown. Because a variety of staphylococci can be cultured in ulcerated skin lesions, it was considered a purulent infection in the past. However, pustules are sterile and are not considered an infectious disease. Because its clinical manifestations and pathological changes are the same as pustular psoriasis, some people think that this disease is similar to pustular psoriasis and herpes-like pustular disease.
