Giant tongue
Macroglossia refers to the enlargement of the tongue caused by hyperplasia and edema of the tongue. Giant tongue can be caused by a variety of reasons: hemangiomas and lymphangiomas, neurofibromas, hypothyroidism, angioedema, amyloidosis and others. The diagnosis is not difficult, and the treatment is mainly directed to the cause.
