Neisseria gonorrhoeae infection
Neisseria gonorrhoeae infection is a purulent infection of the genitourinary system caused by Neisseria gonorrhoeae (NG, Neisseria gonorrhoeae). It is one of the common sexually transmitted diseases, commonly known as gonorrhea. Clinical manifestations are more common in urethritis and cervicitis. Typical symptoms are dysuria, frequent urination, urgency, dysuria, discharge of mucus or purulent secretions. It can also invade the eyes, pharynx, rectum and pelvis, as well as blood-borne disseminated infections that cause arthritis, perihepatitis, sepsis, endocarditis or meningitis.
