Papillary adenoma

Papillary adenoma is also clinically called villous adenoma, which is different from polypoid adenoma, which is characterized by adenomas that do not protrude from the bowel wall. The surface is thick fluff. It is considered to be a precancerous lesion because there are many opportunities for canceration. It is more common in older people over 60 years of age, and about 90% of papillary adenomas occur in the rectum and sigmoid colon. In many reports, papillary adenomas can turn into about 75% of cancers.
