Paralytic strabismus
Belongs to a common strabismus. Strabismus caused by paralysis of extraocular muscles is called paralytic strabismus. Strabismus with eye movement disorders is considered noncommon strabismus. Uncommon strabismus can be divided into two categories according to its cause: spastic strabismus and paralytic strabismus. Strabismus due to primary muscle (nerve) spasm is extremely rare and is only occasionally seen in tetanus and neurosis. Therefore, most of the extraocular muscle spasms encountered clinically are secondary, so noncommon strabismus generally refers to paralytic strabismus.
