Renal atrophy
Atrophy of kidney is an abnormal phenomenon that is relatively small or significantly reduced according to the comparison of kidney volume with human age, gender, and human height and weight. Prolonged kidney disease results in damage to the nephrons, especially the glomeruli, and shrinks the entire kidney. Renal atrophy and changes in renal function are complementary. When the patient has renal atrophy, renal insufficiency and renal failure-uremia-have already occurred or will inevitably occur. Therefore, it is important to improve and control renal atrophy in the treatment of kidney disease.
