African trypanosomiasis

African trypanosomiasis, also known as sleeping sickness, is a zoonotic parasitic protozoan disease caused by Trypanosoma brucei. The clinical manifestations are mainly long-term irregular fever with central nervous system damage. If not treated early, it will eventually die.
