Diabetes and hypertension

Diabetes and hypertension are common diseases and they are closely related. The prevalence of hypertension in diabetic patients is significantly higher, about twice that of non-diabetic populations, and increases with age, weight gain, and prolonged disease duration. Women are higher than men. Relevant data abroad show that the prevalence of hypertension in diabetic patients is 40% to 80%; reports in China are lower than abroad, 28.4% to 48.1%. In addition, hypertension occurs early in people with diabetes, and its prevalence peaks 10 years earlier than non-diabetics.
