Excessive uterine contraction
The uterine contractility is the main force in labor, and the uterine contraction force runs through the whole process of labor. During the delivery process, the rhythm, symmetry, and polarity of the uterine contraction are abnormal or the intensity and frequency are changed, which is called abnormal uterine contractility. Clinically, obstructive dystocia is often caused by abnormal birth canal or fetal factors, which increases the resistance of the fetus through the birth canal, resulting in secondary abnormal fertility. Abnormal uterine contractility is clinically divided into two categories: weak uterine contraction and excessive uterine contraction, and each type is coordinated uterine contraction and uncoordinated uterine contraction. Excessive uterine contraction means that the rhythm, symmetry, and polarity of the uterine contraction are normal.
