Tachycardia cardiomyopathy
Long-term chronic tachycardia or sustained rapid cardiac pacing can cause dilated cardiomyopathy and other symptoms such as dilated cardiomyopathy. As long as tachycardia is controlled, heart shape and cardiac function can be partially or completely restored to normal. This cardiomyopathy caused by tachycardia is called tachycardiomyopathy (TCM).
