Tibial tuberculosis osteochondrosis

This disease is also known as tibial tubercle epiphysitis or osteochondritis, aseptic necrosis, and traction epiphysitis. It is a juvenile disease, and the child's tibial tubercle becomes large with pain. In 1903, Osgood first reported some cases of partial avulsion of the tibial tubercle. Shortly after, Schlatter proposed that the disease was osteitis of the tongue-shaped sagging part of the epiphysis of the tibial bone. Therefore, the disease was also called Osgood-Schlatter disease.
