Babesiasis
Babesiosis (babesiosis, piroplasmosis) is a parasitic disease caused by human-animal infection caused by blood protozoa parasitic in red blood cells of the genus Babesia through tick-like infection. Different types of protozoa can cause disease to corresponding vertebrates, so there are various types of Babesia, such as cattle, horses, dogs, sheep, and pigs. Human Babesiasis, which resembles malaria in acute onset, is clinically characterized by intermittent fever, splenomegaly, jaundice, intravascular hemolysis, and hemoglobinuria.
