Frosty dendritic vasculitis
Frosted branch retinal angiitis (frosted branch angiitis) is a retinal perivascular inflammation, it is a rare type of uveitis. It is characterized by a wide retinal vascular sheath, similar to frost-covered branches, and is mostly affected by both eyes. It can be accompanied by no systemic disease, but also with acquired immune deficiency syndrome, tumors and some infectious diseases. This disease is called hoarfrost retinal vasculitis in Japan. It is still called acute frosted retinal periphlebitis in English literature.
