Gastrointestinal stromal tumors
Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumors (GISTs) are a group of tumors that originate from the mesenchymal tissue of the gastrointestinal tract and account for most of the tumors of the gastrointestinal tract. As a newer concept, stromal tumors should cover the so-called ldquo; gastrointestinal leiomyoma rdquo; or ldquo; gastrointestinal leiomyosarcoma rdquo ;. However, as a tumor occurring in mesenchymal tissue, the concept of gastrointestinal leiomyoma or sarcoma has not been ruled out, but in the current clinical pathological diagnosis, such tumors only account for a small part of gastrointestinal mesenchymal tumor .
