Humeral shaft fracture

Fracture of humeral shaft refers to the fracture between 1-2cm below the surgical neck of the humerus to 2cm above the humeral condyle, accounting for 1.31% of systemic fractures. It is more common in the middle of the backbone, followed by the lower part and the upper part. Fractures in the middle and lower 1/3 are easily associated with radial nerve injury, and nonunion in the lower 1/3 fractures.
