Esophageal diverticulum
The mucosal layer or full layer of the esophagus wall protrudes outward from the esophagus cavity, forming a sac-like protrusion communicating with the esophageal cavity, which is called an esophageal diverticulum. Esophageal diverticula are mostly acquired diseases, which are common in adults. There are also those with congenital esophageal diverticulum formation.
