Chronic simple rhinitis

Chronic simple rhinitis is a reversible inflammation of the nasal mucosa due to local, systemic, or environmental factors. The main pathological changes are dysfunction of nasal mucosal autonomic nerves, vasodilatation of mucous membranes, increased permeability; lymphocytes and plasma cells infiltration around blood vessels and glands; active mucus glands, and increased secretions. The main symptoms are nasal congestion and runny nose.
