Megaloblastic anemia in children
Megaloblastic anaemia, also known as large cell anemia, is mainly caused by a direct or indirect deficiency of folic acid and / or vitamin Bl2, most of which are caused by direct deficiency due to insufficient intake. The blood cell morphology is characterized by a large red blood cell volume, excessive neutrophil nuclear defoliation, and giant juvenile red blood cell proliferation in the bone marrow.
