Ulcerative colitis in children
Ulcerative colitis (ulcerative colitisUC), referred to as ulceration, has not been fully elucidated. It is mainly a chronic non-specific inflammatory disease that invades the colonic mucosa, which usually starts in the left hemicolon and can progress gradually in a continuous manner toward the proximal colon and even the entire colon. Clinical symptoms vary in severity. Patients with remission and seizures may have colonic symptoms or systemic symptoms.
