Impotence
Impotence is the most common male sexual dysfunction disease, referred to as ED. It means that during the sexual life of men, the penis cannot reach or maintain a sufficient erection, fails to complete a satisfactory sex life, and the disease duration lasts more than three months. The main manifestations are slow or difficult erections at the beginning of sexual intercourse; sometimes although the erections are not enough, the erections are not rigid enough to cause difficulty in insertion or cannot be inserted into the vagina at all. Impotence is usually associated with cardiovascular disease, hyperlipidemia, diabetes, hypothyroidism, androgen deficiency, hyperprolactinemia, hyperestrogenemia, obesity, long-term heavy smoking, alcoholism, lack of exercise, etc. With the increase of age, the incidence of impotence gradually increases, and the incidence of impotence is more than 50% in adult men over 40 years old. At present, it is divided into three categories: psychological, organic, and mixed.
