Hypospadias

Ectopic opening of the urethra on the ventral side of the urethra is called hypospadias. The opening of the hypospadias can occur anywhere from the perineum to the head of the penis. The distal end of the outer urethra, the urethra and the surrounding tissues are underdeveloped, forming fibrous cords that pull the penis and bend the penis to the ventral side. Congenital penile curvature does not all have hypospadias, but there are different degrees of penile curvature.
