Periapical disease
Periapical disease includes acute and chronic periapical inflammation. Periodontal disease refers to the inflammation of periodontal tissues, including cementum, periodontal ligament, and alveolar bone, which is confined to the apex. Pathologically, it is divided into serous and suppurative periapical periodontitis.
