Pneumococcal pneumonia
Pneumococcal pneumonia is pneumonia caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae. Streptococcus pneumoniae is the most common cause of bacterial pneumonia, accounting for two-thirds of bacterial community-acquired pneumonia. Pneumococcal pneumonia is generally seen in four seasons, but it is most common in winter. The disease is most common in patients who are too young or too old. Pharyngeal bacterial examination showed that 5% to 25% of healthy people were carriers of pneumococcus. Parents of children and young children had the highest detection rate in winter. According to capsular polysaccharide antigen classification, pneumococcus has more than 80 serotypes.
