Pulmonary toxoplasmosis
Pulmonary toxoplasmosis (PT) is inflammation of the lungs caused by Toxoplasma gondii. The protozoa invades the human body and causes blood circulation to spread most easily to the central nervous system, and the lungs can also be affected. Although the involvement of Toxoplasma in the lungs has been reported for a long time, it was not noticed until the protozoa was often found in hosts with impaired cellular immune function.
