Nail Bed Buns
Aster is the phenomenon of diffuse bruising on the skin and mucous membranes. Generally, it is most obvious in areas with thin skin, less pigmentation, and sufficient blood, such as nail beds. Others include lips, tongue, oral mucosa, tip of nose, cheek, and earlobe. High-altitude heart disease can be manifested by clubbing fingers, cyanosis of the lips and nail beds, and impaired right heart function mainly caused by chronic hypoxia.
