Pubic hair

Like hair, pubic hair also comes off due to metabolism. The pubic hair is replaced about every six months, and about 10-20 hairs fall off every day. With the increase of age, the secretion of sex hormones gradually decreases, the hair follicles gradually shrink, the pubic hairs increase, and the pubic hairs become gradually thinner and change from black to white. This is a normal physiological phenomenon. Before and after menopause, the speed of pubic hair shedding is accelerated. If there is no special abnormal performance, it is also physiological, so you don't need to worry about it. However, some people have severe pubic hair loss in adulthood, even in adolescence, most of which are caused by a certain disease. In women, premature pubic hair loss is the most common cause of pituitary prolactinoma and anterior pituitary hypofunction. The former can occur at any age, the latter is more common in women with postpartum hemorrhage, and the lesions in both are in the pituitary gland. With pituitary prolactinoma, the blood prolactin concentration will rise, and patients will lose axillary and pubic hair in addition to closed milk.
