"Duck step" gait
Severe pseudohypertrophic dystrophy is a clinical manifestation of muscular dystrophy, which is characterized by the two legs aside, walking slowly swinging, and exhibiting a special "duck step" gait. Muscular dystrophy is a group of primary skeletal muscle necrotic diseases characterized by progressive skeletal muscle weakness caused by genetic factors. It is clinically manifested by progressively aggravated skeletal muscle atrophy and weakness in different degrees and distribution . It can also affect the heart muscle.
