Obstructive nephropathy in the elderly
Obstructive nephropathy refers to obstruction of any part of the urinary tract caused by various reasons, leading to increased pressure above the obstruction, resulting in renal parenchymal damage and dysfunction. It is one of the common causes of acute and chronic renal failure and a common cause of recurrent urinary tract infection.
