Thickened vas deferens
The thickening of the vas deferens is one of the clinical manifestations of varicocele. The varicocele refers to the spiral expansion of the veins in the seminiferous cord due to obstruction of the return flow. It is a common disease in young and middle-aged people. It means that the spermatic cord venous plexus (venous vascular plexus) is dilated, tortuous and lengthened due to venous blood flow accumulation in the spermatic cord. The incidence is 10-15% in men and 15-20% in male infertility. This disease mostly occurs on the left side, but bilateral incidence is not uncommon, up to about 20%.
