Adrenal cortical hormone deficiency

Adrenal cortex hormone deficiency due to the adrenal gland itself is a rare endocrine disease. Adrenocortical hormones are a general term for hormones secreted by the adrenal cortex and are steroidal compounds. Can be divided into three categories: ①mineralocorticoids, secreted by globular bands, there are aldosterone (aldosterone) and deoxycorticosterone (desoxycorticosterone). ② Glucocorticoids (glucocorticoids), which are synthesized and secreted by the fascicular band, include hydrocortisone (cortisone) and cortisone (cortisone). Their secretion and production are regulated by corticosteroids (ACTH). ③ sex hormones, secreted by the reticular zone, usually referred to as adrenal hormones, excluding the latter. The commonly used corticosteroids are glucocorticoids.
