Face collapse

Fracture of the sacrum causes the sacrum to collapse. The sacrum and sacral arch are the prominent parts of the face, which are prone to fracture due to impact. The sacrum is related to the maxillary, frontal, sphenoid, and temporal bones, and the connection surface with the maxilla is the largest. Therefore, fracture of the tarsal bone (fracture of malar bone) is often accompanied by maxillary fractures. The temporal process of the sacrum and the condyle of the temporal bone connect to form the sacral arch, which is thinner and narrower and more prone to fracture (frago of arch).
