Congenital rubella syndrome
Congenital rubella syndrome is caused by rubella infection in the first trimester. Rubella virus infects the fetus through the placenta, causing congenital malformations of the fetus. Newborn babies can be immature, congenital heart disease, cataract, deafness, developmental disorders, etc., called congenital rubella, or congenital rubella syndrome. The damage caused by congenital rubella syndrome is temporary, most of them are progressive or permanent, and there is no specific treatment. Rubella can occur throughout the year, and the incidence is high in spring.
